So, no posts about the art journal for a bit! I did get a bit behind in picture-taking. And, to be honest, I got behind in my journalling, too. But I spent some time working on the journal this past weekend and things are back on track. I have two pages to share in this post.
This is my third page in the journal. It has some very diary-esque moments and also just some doodles.
This was just something that came to mind and doodled out. It was a quick catch-up moment, but I think it's cool.
I've been exercise more lately - I'm walking and doing Zumba (I got the set with toning sticks and it's a lot of fun!) Dallas is one of my favorite shows and it has made its way into my journal a few times. It's over for the season, though, so I will try to patiently await the season premiere in January.
For the next page, I decided to see what would happen if I watercolored and then made the boxes. I am liking how that is going. I thought initially I'd do more journalling in the white spaces between the boxes, but that's just not happening so far. Here is my first attempt this way:
I also like the extreme variations in the sizes of the boxes on this page. I used a lot more colors in this page, and when it wasn't filled yet, I didn't really care for it. However, I'm glad I decided to continue on this page anyway, because it turned out really neat.
You can see how exercise is really showing up lately!
This was a really simple sketch - I think this little box turned out pretty cool as well.
So I did learn that it isn't too hard to catch up on this kind of journal, but I am going to try to not fall behind again - I like the idea of art journalling as a fun and relaxing habit.
This is cool! I'm into art journaling as well.
